Any post tagged as take action! means that it has pertinent information about steps you can take right now to voice your support. Often this will mean calling a particularly important congressman to leave a message of support, or being aware of a local event that could use your presence.
Actions everybody can take
- Write your Congressional Representative and ask them to introduce articles of impeachment directly into the floor of the House. Send them an e-mail or find their address on their own personal pages. Click here and enter your ZIP to get to your Representative’s page!
- Write your Senator and tell them that although they cannot directly initiate impeachment, you would like them to conduct a full investigation of the Bush/Cheney administration. Ask them to support their pro-impeachment friends in the House. Contact your Senators today!
- Submit your own articles of impeachment against Messrs. Bush and Cheney using this form.
- Sign a petition by entering your information here and here. Remember to use your actual contact information or your entry may be invalidated!
- Petition in your area with these instructions
- Find local groups with resources such as Google, MeetUp.com, Yahoo! Groups, and AfterDowningStreet.org
For Massachusetts Residents
Sign the state-wide petition urging the Massachusetts legislature to pursue impeachment by way of the Sec. 603 of the House rules book.
Locate your elected officials and look under Rep in General Court and Senate in General Court. Write these representatives and tell them that you are a constituent who wants the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to take initiative!
